What is the Policy Makers Studio?

The Policy Makers Studio is a live interview set at the FOCUS booth at InsurTech Connect in Las Vegas, where interviews for the Policy Makers series are recorded in front of attendees. Each conversation becomes an executive feature in The 2026 Policy Makers Annual Report, published by FOCUS, and carries across the series through the year. The live interview schedule is published on this page as guests are confirmed.

Who can request an interview?

The Studio hosts senior operations, underwriting, claims, and executive leaders at carriers, MGAs, and MGUs. Regulators and industry economists also feature in the series. Requests are reviewed by the FOCUS team, and sessions at ITC are limited.

When are interviews recorded?

Studio sessions are recorded at the FOCUS booth during ITC expo floor hours: Wednesday, September 30, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Thursday, October 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Confirmed guests receive their session time by email ahead of the event. Virtual interviews are available for leaders who are unable to attend ITC.

What happens after I request?

The FOCUS team reviews each request and confirms scheduling by email. Before taping, the team researches each guest and sends the interview questions in advance. Confirmed guests sit for a 20-minute recorded conversation at the Studio with Pete Crowe, President of FOCUS and host of Policy Makers.
